New Year's Resolutions

Planning on making a health & fitness New Year's resolution? Begin by 1). Raising your standards. Achieving a healthy lifestyle is not just a desire...It's a MUST! 2). Change your LIMITING Beliefs. Doubt is the major enemy in creating change. Create a sense of CERTAINTY! 3) Formulate a new plan, a step-by-step procedure you will follow.

Anthony Robbins defines the principles of Neuro-Associative Conditioning TM with 6 primary steps:
  1. Decide what you really want. Whatever you focus on, you move towards.
  2. Get leverage. Make the Change a MUST! "The ultimate leverage in human beings to create change always comes down to our ability to change what we link PAIN to, and what we link PLEASURE to."....Tony Robbins
  3. Interrupt the Limiting Pattern. You can't put in something new when there is already something in the slot.
  4. Create a new, empowering alternative pattern! Find something that gives you what you originally wanted from the food.
  5. Condition the new pattern until it's consistent. Any behavior that is consistently reinforced will eventually become a conditioned pattern or habit, to insure that your new choices become your lifestyle.
  6. Test it. The ultimate test is living your daily life. Know that the changes you have made WORK!
New Year's resolutions can work, if you go about it the right way! Check out Anthony Robbins' website where you can find books, coaching programs and events to help you live the life you have always wanted. Go to: http://www.tonyrobbins.com/

So this is a blatant bit of self promotion, but I've created a website called goalhappy.com (http://www.goalhappy.com) that I think is just right for this time of year - it allows you to create daily, weekly and monthly goals, track your progress and lets others track your progress too (so as to make sure you stick to those new year resolutions and create good habits!).
If you're determined to have a healthy 2010 this could really help!
