Write it Down!


These 4 steps can help you reach your healthy weight loss goals.
  1. Write yourself a letter. Include all the reasons behind your decision to change your lifestyle. Make a written commitment to yourself. Include, why you love yourself and want to be healthier? Why you're worth the effort. Compliment yourself; for instance, your hair, eyes, legs, nature and talents. Include the reasons why you want to lose weight and get fit. (Keep this letter in a handy place, maybe in your Journal, and re-read it immediately when you feel yourself slipping back into old, unwanted habits.)
  2. Journal your food intake and activities daily. It's too easy to underestimate how much you eat. Include your thoughts and experiences, positive and negative.
  3. Plan your weekly menus and shopping list.
  4. Schedule your exercise, including resistance training and make it a priority in your day.
