Write it Down!
These 4 steps can help you reach your healthy weight loss goals.
- Write yourself a letter. Include all the reasons behind your decision to change your lifestyle. Make a written commitment to yourself. Include, why you love yourself and want to be healthier? Why you're worth the effort. Compliment yourself; for instance, your hair, eyes, legs, nature and talents. Include the reasons why you want to lose weight and get fit. (Keep this letter in a handy place, maybe in your Journal, and re-read it immediately when you feel yourself slipping back into old, unwanted habits.)
- Journal your food intake and activities daily. It's too easy to underestimate how much you eat. Include your thoughts and experiences, positive and negative.
- Plan your weekly menus and shopping list.
- Schedule your exercise, including resistance training and make it a priority in your day.
